I am a writer, educator, editor, and avid book lover with many interests, passions, talents, and professional experience. Prayerfully, you find the information contained in these web pages useful, whether it’s for fun or educational purposes.

Presently, I am a doctoral candidate at Florida State University’s College of Education, pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: English Education. Over the last 24 years, I  have worked in various positions for the State of Florida (technical writer/editor, educational policy analyst, quality assurance analyst, and project manager) and a nonprofit organization (public affairs coordinator). My higher education teaching experience includes Tallahassee Community College (adjunct English instructor) and Florida State University (graduate teaching assistant and research assistant in the School of Teacher Education).

One of THE main reasons I went back to school was because I wanted to help my community, more specifically, the African American community, with educational opportunities by closing the achievement and opportunity gaps. I am so excited and honored to finally be  launching in August 2021 my free, supplemental educational services (through online curriculum materials) for middle and high school students called BELL ACADEMY. These courses are also appropriate for college level learners and lifelong adult learners.
